At City Covenant we gather together to worship God, who has revealed Himself to us in Jesus Christ, and to respond to God's love for us by caring for the social, cultural, physical, and spiritual needs of the greater Spokane community and beyond.
Who We Are

City Covenant is a part of the Evangelical Covenant Church, a fast growing denomination in the United States with more than 850 congregations throughout the U.S. and Canada and global mission partners around the world. The ECC is multiethnic, intergenerational, and deeply devoted to making disciples of Jesus in every corner of the city and the world. Welcome to City Covenant!
We understand that stepping into a new church can be exciting and slightly nerve-wracking. Rest assured, we are thrilled to have you join us! Here's what you can expect when you attend City Covenant for the first time:
Warm Welcome:
From the moment you walk through our doors, expect to be greeted with smiles and open hearts. Our friendly greeters are here to guide you, answer any questions you may have, and make you feel right at home.
Kid-Friendly Environment:
Kids are a vital part of our community. We provide child care for infants and toddlers and Sunday School for kids up to 5th grade. As soon as you arrive, you can find a kid's check-in station and head into the sanctuary, where kids will join for worship (about 20 minutes) until it's time for kids' church to begin.
Uplifting Worship:
We begin the service with worship. Our worship team is dedicated to creating an atmosphere where you can connect with your spirituality through music, prayer, and reflection. You may find that City Covenant is less production-driven than many churches when it comes to music, and that's intentional. At City Covenant, we feel the most authentic worship happens through simplicity.
Meaningful Messages:
Sermons are crafted to resonate with your daily life and guide you into deeper discipleship with Jesus. Whether new to faith or a seasoned believer, you'll find relevant and insightful messages that offer guidance, hope, and practical wisdom for navigating life's journey.
Community Connections:
Join us for fellowship after the service! Connect with others over coffee and snacks, and discover the warmth of our community.
